Hopes and Dreams
of American Middle School Students The 6th graders I teach at the Episcopal Academy in Merion, PA love to write poetry. They express many emotions and write about favorite places. In these poems, they share their hopes and dreams for their futures and the future of the world. These poems were written and decorated on cloth so they could hang with thousands of other dream poems of school children across the United States at the Dream Flag celebration in the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, PA, in April 2005. |
