| At
my school, children love to play, and they play lots of sports from kindergarten
to 12th grade, as you can see in these pictures from the Episcopal Academy
web page. Can you name some of the activities in these pictures? What
are some sports and games you don't see in these photos? |

This American speed skater, Joey Cheek, won a gold medal
in the 2006 Winter Olympics. He donated his prize money to a charity to
help children hurt in the fighting in Darfur, Sudan. He set a wonderful
example of caring for others. This is what he said, "For me to walk away with a gold medal is amazing, and the best way to say thanks that I can think of is to help somebody else." |
Joey Cheek and other athletes help children
all across the world. You can learn about the charity called Right to Play at this site: http://www.righttoplay.com/site/PageServer |
